16-year-old Connor Michael Lewis of Sanford was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the shooting of the 18-year-old Artavious Quarterman on Wednesday.
During the call, Lewis was heard saying, “Oh, you’re so scary. You’re so scary.”
The women along with Artavious Quarterman, 18, called Lewis’ name when a gunshot suddenly sounded off, according to the Sanford Police Department.
“In the course of this interaction, one round from a gun was fired from the inside of the home, through the window on the front door, striking Artavious Quarterman in the head,” police stated in a press release.
Sanford police Chief Cecil Smith called the act “senseless.”
