Schenectady NY: Video shows a Schenectady officer kneeling on a man’s neck. @schdypolice, y’all care to comment??

The incident took place weeks after protesters marched across the country to protest the May 25 killing of George Floyd, who died after a Minneapolis police officer kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes.

At least two protests occurred in Schenectady with Police Chief Eric Clifford kneeling down in solidarity with protesters calling for an end to police brutality. Clifford later marched with demonstrators.

Clifford could not be reached for immediate comment Monday afternoon. Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy said he was unaware of the incident.
